OUR HISTORY

The National Latina Business Women Association was established in July 2004

by a group of Latina Entrepreneurs and Corporate Business Professionals who realized their own need for mentors and educational programs to scale their businesses and elevate their careers.

Today, NLBWA-San Diego continues expanding throughout the various regions of

San Diego County.

OUR VISION

To be the leading business resource for professional development for Latina entrepreneurs, executives, professionals and students in San Diego.

WHO WE REPRESENT

We represent the Latina, who is 45% of the total female population in San Diego County. The demographics we serve are the Entrepreneurs, Executive and Corporate Professionals, who are Key Influencers that impact behavior in the community. Latinas are the fastest growing demographic in the country and are achieving higher education at record numbers and who are also starting more businesses than their peers. Latinas are a key growth engine of the U.S. economy. 86% of Latinas are the primary shopper in the household, so they control the lions share of the $1.4 trillion in annual Hispanic buying power. The epic increase of U.S. born Latina females represents the nations future workforce that will be bicultural and bilingual.
